Earlier this month, we opened up a fourth hosting location – this time in Australia!

Given that we are an Australian-based company (HQ in Melbourne), this is extra special for us.

The Australian network joins our other current options in the US, UK, and Canada.

As with all of our data center locations, all user data and content will be fully hosted and served from within the country of origin. This ensures that the schools and universities we work with can satisfy local rules and regulations around data privacy and residency restrictions. It also can help performance and speed to have sites hosted closer to home.

Something we are particularly excited about is that the new Australia option is our first to be fully built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

The large Global2 network for the State of Victoria has been running smoothly on the new setup for several weeks. We are ready to start developing a migration timeline for any of our existing customers that may wish to move here as well.

Please get in touch if you have any questions. We’re always happy to help!
